Wrinkle searches +81.5%, peptide -35.3%
Concern keywords and ingredient keywords do not rise in the same month. Korean searches for wrinkle care gained 81.5% over the past two months while peptide fell 35.3%, and on a five-year average the two words peak four months apart. That gap is why an October launch named after its ingredient starts behind.
Concern keywords and ingredient keywords do not rise in the same month. In our daily search index, comparing 24 August with 19 October 2026, wrinkle care rose 81.5% while peptide fell 35.3%. Seven of the nine ingredients we track were down over that window.
Wrinkle care gained 81.5% while seven of nine ingredients fell
Export decks almost always open with an ingredient. Right now the words gaining search volume in Korea are not ingredient names. In our daily search index, comparing 24 August with 19 October 2026, wrinkle care climbed 81.5% — the largest gain of any term we follow.
Ingredients moved the other way over the same window. Of the nine we track, only exosome and panthenol rose; seven fell. The three that appear most often on a wrinkle product page are all in that group of seven — hyaluronic acid -44%, peptide -35.3%, retinol -13.8%.
So the concern is rising and the ingredients sold against it are not. A brand whose product name and ad copy lead with the ingredient is currently buying a word that fewer people type.

The two words peak four months apart
Stretch the window from two months to five years and the structure shows. The same tracking carries a monthly index per word: the highest month of the year is set to 100 and every other month is scaled beneath it.
Wrinkle care reads 100 in October, meaning this is its annual high. Peptide in the same month reads 33, retinol 36.1. Their own highs sit in February and March.
| Term | Five-year peak | October index | Two-month change |
|---|---|---|---|
| Wrinkle care | October (100) | 100 | +81.5% |
| Peptide | February (100) | 33 | -35.3% |
| Retinol | March (100) | 36.1 | -13.8% |
| Hyaluronic acid | January | — | -44% |
That makes this year's peptide decline a weaker signal than it first looks. October is close to peptide's floor in an ordinary year. By the same token, much of the wrinkle-care gain is the calendar doing its work. Tie the two to one campaign and one of them always lands in its off-season.
The concern that rises in October is gone by November
The telling point on the wrinkle-care curve is not the peak but the month after it. The index falls from 100 in October to 8.9 in November. It spends two months climbing — 95.9 in September, 100 in October — then drops close to the floor in one.
For a media plan that is a budgeting problem. Add spend to wrinkle keywords on the strength of the October rise and the volume disappears before the flight ends. The same money in January moves alongside peptide at 92.7 and hyaluronic acid at its annual high.
Brightening is moving against its own season
Brightening rose 25% over the same two months. The figure is quieter than wrinkle care until you lay the season over it.
On the five-year average, brightening peaks in May and starts climbing in January. October gives it no reason to rise, and it rose 25% anyway, so the calendar does not account for this one. Pores went the other way — down 24.2% after an August peak, which is the shape it holds most years.
If only one of the three is worth opening this week, it is brightening. The wrinkle-care gain arrives every autumn; the brightening gain belongs to this year. Today's figures sit in today's ingredient signals.
A 90-day lead time lands in January 2027
Allow 90 days from a locked brief to a product on the shelf, and anything started today launches in mid-January 2027. Read that month's index before picking the product and the order does not invert on you.
January is where peptide reads 92.7 and hyaluronic acid hits its annual high. The two ingredients that lost the most search volume this autumn are at their strongest point by the time the product ships. Wrinkle care, meanwhile, is down at 37 in January.
Put simply: lead with the concern for what you are selling now, and with the ingredient for what you are building now. To line both dates up against category and price band, work it through the product planner.

In this month the concern keyword carries more volume than the ingredient name. Bear in mind the wrinkle-care index drops to 8.9 in November, so budget concentrated in October loses the same volume next month.
